Hello from Cinque Terre, where we stopped off after a 48-hour reconnaissance mission to make sure our craftspeople were alive and well (they are) and that are new collection is ready to go (well, almost.)
First things first: we are thrilled to share with you our new website and expanded collection of goods. We won’t lie: it’s been a major challenge to relaunch after COVID-19 pretty much delayed everything.
We’re excited to share with you our new departments: our curated collections of vintage jewelry, home décor, and fine art, including the brilliant artist Romy Vargas. We have several limited edition prints for sale exclusively on fonfrege.com.
By now you’ve no doubt heard about our espadrilles. It’s the only shoe we wear in summer, and we’re proud to have found the best craftspeople in France to make them for us by hand, in the traditional style.
The town of Mauléon is home to the original espadrilles. Make sure you pick up a few pairs in any one of the fabulous colours we offer. Shop the collection here.
Meanwhile, we’re dreaming of daiquiris. Big ones. While many of us are staying put until it’s safe to travel, check out The Journal for our team’s tantalizing report from Cuba (don’t worry – they went before the pandemic hit.) Read their story here.
Lastly, don’t forget to check out The Collector’s Library, where you’ll find first-edition monographs of the world’s most celebrated photographers and artists, plus important editions of literary fiction. See what’s new here.
It’s a lot to take in so pour yourself a Pastis and take a summer holiday with Fonfrège!
